Teni Breaks Silence On Alleged Kidnap

Nigerian singer Teni the Entertainer has come out to detail what happened during her performance in Rivers State where it was reported that she was almost kidnapped. Video clips circulating online showed Teni performing and it got messy that the singer was whisked away which made her fans who attended the show raise an alarm.

They however claimed some persons attempted to abduct her while she was performing and attendees were running for their lives which led to a stampede. Teni has now dismissed the reports via her Instagram stories saying, “It all happened so fast, there was no incidence of attempted kidnap. A fight started out backstage and that led to a stampede.”

The police also in a statement released also dismissed reports of the attempted kidnap, stating that some miscreants had attempted to cause a fight at the venue and that the security agents at the venue fired gunshots to wade off violence.

Teni however thanked everyone for their concern and love regarding her welfare and assured everyone that she and members of her team are home safe.
