Zidane, Ranieri Make Shortlist For FIFA Best Coach

FIFA have shortlisted ten candidates for The Best Men’s Coach 2016 award with Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri, Real Madrid’s Zinedine Zidane, and Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola making the list.

Other coaches listed are Barcelona’s Luis Enrique, Diego Simeone of Atletico Madrid, and Portugal’s Euro 2016 title-winning coach Fernando Santos.

The winner of The Best FIFA Men’s Coach 2016 will be chosen through a combined voting process, in which 50% of the decision will be based on the choices of all captains and head coaches of national teams around the globe.

The other 50% will be split between the result of an online public ballot with football fans and submissions from a select group of over 200 media representatives from the six continents.

oting for player and coach of the year in 2016, in both men’s and women’s football, starts on 4 November and will close on 22 November. The final lists of three nominees for these categories – as well as for the FIFA Puskás Award and the brand new FIFA Fan Award – will be announced on 2 December.

Meanwhile, the list of 23 finalists for The Best FIFA Men’s Player award will be published on 4 November.
