Beauty Queen Nneze Richards Slams Rihanna Over MET Gala Outfit
Former Face of The World Nigeria Nneze Richards has attacked Barbadian singer Rihanna for wearing a pope-like head piece at the MET gala event.
Richards stated in an Instagram post that the singer was “mocking religion to create controversy and bring public’s attention.”
She described the outfit as a mockery of the catholic while expressing disappointment in MET for allowing it.
Concise News reported that celebrities gathered at New York’s metropolitan Museum on Monday for the MET 2018 gala themed: “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination.”
All the celebrities tried to take a cue from Catholicism in the outfits they wore, a theme Rihanna had been applauded for.
However, this model disagrees with the organisers.
