Leicester, Liverpool Record Wins On New Year Day
Riyad Mahrez, Islam Slimani and Demarai Gray got a goal each as Leicester spanked Huddersfield 3-0 in New Year Day’s Premier League game.
The Foxes had lost 2-1 to Liverpool on Saturday but bounced back with new signing Adrien Silva making his debut for them.
In the other games, Liverpool edged out Burnley 2-1.
Ragnar Klavan nodded in a stoppage time goal to hand the Reds the win after Johann Berg Gudmundss had cancelled Sadio Mane’s opener.
Stoke City lost 0-1 at home to Newcastle while Brighton and Bournemouth drew blank in the early kickoff.
