Copa America: Argentina Coach Speaks On Messi’s Form
Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni has said that Lionel Messi is the ‘best player in the world’ following their 2-0 win over Venezuela.
Concise News reports that Argentina have qualified for the semi-final of the 2019 Copa America and will challenge the hosts, Brazil, on July 3.
The five-time Best Player in the world has only scored once, from the penalty spot, as he continues to struggle offensively in this tournament.
“Messi’s contribution on the pitch is essential, if you could see what he gives us in the dressing room you’d think differently. I assure you it’s great to have him here,” he said at his post-match conference.
Asked about Messi’s poor form, Scaloni boastfully replied: “All there is to say about Leo is he’s the best in the world.”
