We Got Search Warrant Before Raid On Seun Kuti’s House – Police

The Spokesman for the Lagos State Police Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, has said a search warrant was gotten by the police before a search operation was carried out at the resident of Afrobeat musician, Sun Kuti.
This was after a popular online forum owner, Seun Osewa, tackled the police in a tweet following reports of a raid at Seun Kuti’s house.
Osewa tweeted, “The harrassment of Seun Kuti’s family by ransacking their home & seizing his wife’s phone is wrong.
“You’re making people who were sympathetic to the police because Seun Kuti’s behaviour was despicable to remember why they hated the police before.
“This is bad PR for the police.”
In response, Hundeyin wrote, “In the course of our investigation, we stumbled on certain suspicious things that needed to be proven/disproved beyond reasonable doubt.
“We, therefore, applied for and duly got a search warrant from the court, which we have executed. Investigation continues.”
This is all happening after Seun Kuti was taken into custody following a viral video that showed him slapping a police officer in Lagos.
