Struggling Valencia Stun Real Madrid

Real Madrid on Wednesday suffered just their second La Liga defeat of the season as they were beaten 2-1 by Valencia at Mestalla.

Simone Zaza put Valencia ahead with a spectacular strike and Fabian Orellana doubled the lead before Cristiano Ronaldo pulled a goal back.

Ronaldo could have grabbed a point late on, but failed to hit the target with his looping header.

And despite the loss, Zinedine Zidane’s side remain one point clear of Barcelona with a game in hand.
