Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State has congratulated an Ebonyi man, Mr. John Ogbonnaya Amadi on his elevation to Ag. DIG Department of Research and Planning, Force Headquarters, Abuja, and DIG representing South-East Geo-political zone by the Inspector-General of Police Baba Usman.
DIG John Ogbonnaya Amadi is an indigene of Afikpo in Afikpo North Local Government Area of the Ebonyi State. He holds Bachelor’s degree in Education (Biology) and a Master’s Degree in Education both from the prestigious University of Lagos
Governor Umahi while congratulating DIG Amadi for the feat also applauded the IGP for finding him worthy to serve in that capacity.
“I received the heartwarming news of the latest promotion of our brother DIG Amadi to a Frontline capacity with joy in my heart, joy because the appointment proves once again that Ebonyi people are hardworking people doing exploits in their various places of endeavor.
“On behalf of my family, Government, and the good people of Ebonyi State, I congratulate our dear brother on this great feat and wish him well in his service to God and humanity.”
He expressed hope that with Ebonyi’s blood running through the veins of the DIG, he would put in his best in his new posting to make Ebonyi State and Nigeria proud.
Governor Umahi also prayed God to continue to guide and strengthen DIG Amadi in his service to humanity.
