Umahi Commends Ebonyi State Executive Council, Calls For More In 2022
Governor David Umahi has been commended for the vigorous transformation of Ebonyi State under his administration.
The Deputy Governor, Dr. Kelechi Igwe made the commendation when he led members of the State Executive Council on a Christmas homage to the Governor at his Umunaga Uburu Country home on Monday.
Dr. Igwe said the Members of Exco and their spouses were in the Governor’s hometown to felicitate with him on this year’s Christmas celebration and intimate him on the level of peaceful observance in all parts of the State.
Responding, Governor Umahi commended members of the Executive Council and their spouses for their solidarity and support to his administration.
He appealed to them not to feel weary until the Divine Mandate administration fully accomplishes its mission in the State.
“The greatest expectation of this coming together, 2015 and 2019 set in the life of this State is how we can keep this Divine Mandate together and it is possible to keep it together but it is possible through the instrumentality and the patience, perseverance of the people.
“One thing we do in Ebonyi State is to change the narratives of people jumping loyalty from there to there, there are people that have been penciled to miss progress, when the blessing is coming they remove their heads, their hands can not carry the blessings, it is not ordinary, life is spiritual.
Governor Umahi also encouraged the members of Exco not to be distracted by side attractions and political fireworks but to stick together as a formidable team going forward.
He expressed readiness to deliver all ongoing projects by May next year in readiness for extraordinary empowerment for Ebonyi Citizens.
The Governor while also playing host to Stakeholders from Ohaozara, Ikwo and Ohanivo assured of his determination to scale up rural road construction in the areas in the coming year.
The Leaders of Ohaozara, Ikwo, and Ohanivo Political bloc, Princess Nkechinyere Iyioku, Chief Okeagu Ogada, and Honourable Darlington Okereke respectively applauded the infrastructural accomplishments of Governor Umahi in Ebonyi State within just six years in office.
They appealed to the Governor to make himself available for election as Nigeria’s President in 2023 to rescue Nigeria from collapse.
The groups, however, pledged to continue to support the Governor in his future political aspirations.
The Governor also played host to the Divine Mandate Professors, the Civil Service Commission, the House of Assembly Service Commission, the Health Insurance Scheme, the Fertilizer Blending Plant among others.
