Trump Terms Media ‘Enemy Of The American People’

US President Donald Trump went at the media again on Friday via his twitter handle.
The US President, who is currently in Florida, tweeted and called the media “enemy of the American People!”
“The FAKE NEWS media (failing @nytimes, @NBCNews, @ABC, @CBS, @CNN) is not my enemy, it is the enemy of the American People!” Trump wrote on Twitter.
Trump built his campaign on criticising the press as biased. This is in addition to regularly accusing the media of focusing on his setbacks and not giving enough reportage to salient issues, including terrorism.
On Thursday, during a press conference at the White House, he used the opportunity to tear into the media once again.
“You know, you’re dishonest people.”, he said at a point.
Trump declared during the news conference that much of the media propagates the agenda of “special interests” and people “profiting off a very, very obviously broken system.”
According to him, the press has become so dishonest and “out of control” in its reportage that not talking about it would be a “tremendous disservice to the American people.”
Many US presidents have criticised the press, but Trump’s language has more closely echoed remarks levelled by authoritarian leaders around the world.
His vilification and diatribe-filled press conference, however, got endorsed by some conservative media outlets. Trump quoted the words of one of the positive reviews who said the press conference was “effective”.
“‘One of the most effective press conferences I’ve ever seen!’ says Rush Limbaugh. Many agree. Yet FAKE MEDIA calls it differently! Dishonest,” Trump wrote on Twitter about an hour after the earlier tweet.
