Trump Appoints Priebus, Bannon As Chief Of Staff, Strategist
President-elect Donald Trump has appointed Republican National Committee (RNC) chairman, Reince Priebus as his chief of staff.
He was elected chairman of the RNC in 2011. He has also acted as the party’s spokesman and chief fundraiser, helping candidates running for re-election.
Priebus, 44, acted as a bridge between Trump and the Republican party establishment during the campaign.
He reportedly has good relationship with both Trump and House Speaker Paul Ryan who is opposed to Trump’s campaigns.
As chief of staff, he will set the tone for the new White House and act as a conduit to Congress and the government.
His closeness to fellow Winsconsinite, Ryan could be instrumental in steering the new administration’s legislative agenda.
Preibus said it was an honour to work for the new government and the nation.
“I am very grateful to the President-elect for this opportunity to serve him and this nation as we work to create an economy that works for everyone, secure our borders, repeal and replace Obamacare and destroy radical Islamic terrorism.”

Meanwhile, the U.S. President-elect also announced Stephen Bannon would serve as chief strategist.
Bannon was Trump’s campaign chief after temporarily stepping aside as executive chairman of the conservative Breitbart News Network.
The Successful Team
In a statement released by his campaign, Donald Trump is happy to continue with his team after the successful elections.
“I am thrilled to have my very successful team continue with me in leading our country.”
“Steve and Reince are highly qualified leaders who worked well together on our campaign and led us to a historic victory. Now I will have them both with me in the White House as we work to make America great again.”
According to speculations, one of the big challenges of Trump’s administration will be reconciling him with the mainstream Republican party. This is as a result of the sharp divisions during the primaries. Both houses of Congress are under Republican control.
Donald Trump is due to take over from Barack Obama at the White House on 20 January.
