Transfer: Spanish Side Barcelona To Sign Two Nigerian Players

Spanish La Liga side Barcelona are interested in signing Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen and Samuel Chukwueze, Concise News has learned.

Osimhen has been in fine form for French side Lille this season with Chukwueze sparkling fof Villareal in Spain.

The duo was part of the Super Eagles team that featured at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Egypt where Nigeria claimed the bronze medal.

According to Everything Barca and AS, the Spanish side see Osimhen as a replacement for Luis Suarez and also want Chukwueze as an alternative to Neymar as Dembelé struggles with injuries.

Suarez will be 30 in January and the Nou Camp side are planning for life without the Uruguayan hitman.

Osimhen, 20, has scored seven times for Lille this season in the domestic front and netted one goal in the Champions League, also.

Chelsea Star Still Eligible

Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori is still eligible to play for the Super Eagles of Nigeria after being overlooked by England in the 2020 Euro qualifiers.

Tomori and teammate Tammy Abraham were called up for the clashes following a sterling showing this season.

Concise News understands that the Three Lions of England played with the Czech Republic and Bulgaria with Tomori who was invited for the clashes an unused substitute.

The former Canadian youth international would have been cap-tied if he had played a part in the games like his teammate Abraham.

Tomori did, not, however, feature in any of the matches as England coach Garry Southgate went for Mason Mount, Jadon Sancho and Callum Wilson; England bashed Bulgaria 6-0 on Monday night.

Presently, he is behind Tyrone Mings, Harry Maguire and Michael Keane in Southgate’s pecking order of central defenders.

Also, he is qualified for play for Canada where he was born as he said he opted to play for England because they gave him the first call up.
