Tottenham 0-1 Leverkusen: Spurs On The Brink Of Champions League Exit

English side Tottenham are on the brink of Champions League elimination following a deserved  1-0 defeat to German side Bayer Leverkusen at Wembley.

The North Londoners failed to create a clear-cut chance and are now six straight games without a win in all competitions.

Christian Eriksen and Kyle Walker had their attempts go narroly wide after the first half. And Dele Alli had a penalty appeal turned down for Spurs.

Wasteful Tottenham

But Spurs struggled to turn array of possession into chances and went behind when Kevin Kampl received a miscued shot to slot home from about eight yards.

That goal ensured Leverkusen their first Champions League win on English soil having picked just a draw in eight previous meetings.
