Ovation Magazine’s boss, Dele Momodu, has said the government of President Bola Tinubu will be far worse than his predecessor’s, Muhammadu Buhari, because of its over-bloated appointments.
Sharing on X, Momodu stated that Tinubu carries too much baggage than can easily collapse Nigeria.
Momodu stated this after a user on X, @akpata_abubakar, criticised him for turning his back on Tinubu after years of friendship.
@akpata_abubakar wrote, “What Dele Momodu wrote in 2019 on Tinubu becoming president. The guy bowed to pressure from Peter Obi supporters and threw decades of friendship away.”
In response, Momodu wrote, “I did not bow to pressure from anyone.
“I never knew Tinubu had not cleared all the existing mess from the past. His lackadaisical attitude of invincibility is finally catching up
“I did not know he planned to continue at the national level the dictatorial template that has kept his fingers on the jugular of Lagos for 24 years
“Tinubu kept absolutely quiet on the Buhari government as it vandalised Nigeria. Now we are paying dearly for it
“After YAR’ADUA’s and BUHARI’S ill-health, Tinubu’s was also getting very poor.
“It is now very obvious that Tinubu’s government will be far worse than Buhari’s with the reckless and over-bloated appointments.
“He carries too much baggage that can easily collapse Nigeria at home and abroad.
“With the much in public domain at this time, I can’t in good conscience recommend or defend Tinubu.”
