A chieftain of the Northern Elders Forum and a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Rev. Bitrus Dangiwa, says Bola Tinubu was ”selfish” to have dreamt of a Muslim-Muslim presidential ticket.

Dangiwa stated this when he spoke to journalists in Kaduna on Saturday in reaction to statements attributed to Tinubu, in a book titled ‘Against the Run of Play’ written by Olusegun Adeniyi.

In the book, Tinubu was alleged to have said his moves to become President Muhammadu Buhari’s running mate in 2015 presidential election was prevented by Saraki and El-Rufai.

Dangiwa said he was among those who killed the move, adding that ”Tinubu’s thought of becoming (Nigeria’s) Vice President to a Muslim presidential candidate was not only self-centred or selfish, but it would have worked against the APC.”

He applauded Bukola Saraki for also joining forces with others to fight against Tinubu’s Muslim-Muslim presidential ticket agenda.
