Tinubu Becomes President, Says Proudest Day Of My Life

The newly sworn-in President Bola Tinubu has said today is the proudest day of his life.

In a tweet, after he was sworn-in at the Eagle Square in Abuja on Monday, Tinubu stated that the day, however, belongs to the people of Nigeria.

He said, “This is the proudest day of my life. But this day does not belong to me. It belongs to you, the people of Nigeria.”

The President accompanied the tweet with photos showing him signing necessary documents to prove he had indeed taken over leadership from former president Muhammadu Buhari who stood beside and watched. Tinubu was also accompanied by his wife.

Other photos showed the moment he took his first inspection of the armed forces.
