The police have announced that the three workers of former president Olusegun Obasanjo who were abducted in the Kobape Area of Ogun State have regained their freedom.
The workers had been abducted on Wednesday while on their way to a farm belonging to Obasanjo in Kobape.
Confirming their release o. Friday, the Ogun State police spokesman, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the abductees were released without ransom payment.
“We mounted a lot of pressure on the kidnappers. Since Thursday, our anti-kidnapping and SWAT operatives have been in the bush searching for them.
“They were able to trace them to the bush behind Day Waterman College. They have been there since yesterday.
“This evening, they released them unhurt without any ransom,” Oyeyemi disclosed.
