The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has stated the availability of Passport Booklets in all passport-issuing centres in the country contrary to reports.
The agency denies claims that there is a scarcity of materials needed for the issuance of passports.
This is contained in a statement presented by the NIS spokesperson, Sunday James.
He said: “It would be recalled that on 2nd March this year, the Service did inform the public about a shortfall in the supply of Passport Booklets in our system”, the statement read in part.
“You may wish to note that the situation has since been resolved following government’s intervention and normalcy restored in all the Issuing Centres as contained in our Press Release of 6th April, 2017.”
He went on to encourage all passport applicants to go to the nearest Passport Office to get their passports while warning against the use of agents as they are not needed in the collection process.
He also urged applicants to forward all complaints to the agency’s website.
