Reports in England indicate that Chelsea captain John Terry will be available for Jose Mourinho’s Stamford Bridge return with Manchester United.

Terry has not played since suffering an ankle injury in the 2-2 draw with Swansea on September 11.

The club’s veteran skipper returned to training last week and was an unused substitute in Saturday’s 3-0 win over Leicester. But there were suggestions he had suffered a setback on the eve of the United clash.

Conte confirms his availability

However, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte insists the 35-year-old is feeling good and will be part of his squad for the reunion with Jose Mourinho.

Conte said: “John is in good shape. He trained with the team. He’s good.

“He solved his problem with his ankle and he trained very well this week. He’s available for the game.”

Chelsea will be without Cesc Fabregas and Branislav Ivanovic against United, with both struggling with minor muscular injuries.

Willian and Oscar, who missed the Leicester match on compassionate leave following family bereavements, are back in training. But the Chelsea boss has yet to decide whether to include the duo.
