Lagos Task Force Nabs Eight Suspected Miscreants

Eight suspected hoodlums have been arrested by operatives of the Lagos State Task Force over acts of vandalism in Mushin area of Lagos.

The suspects, were reported to have attacked and vandalised the operational vehicles of the task force along Idi-Oro of Mushin.

Chairman of the force, Olayinka Egbeyemi, said the miscreants usually attack the enforcement team of the agency around Akala and Idi-Oro areas of Mushin with dangerous weapons such as broken-bottles, cutlasses, stones and iron-rod.

“After briefing the state Commissioner of Police, (CP) Fatai Owoseni, he directed that those arrested miscreants in connection with the attack be immediately charged to court for prosecution,” Egbeyemi said.

He further said no responsible and responsive government would fold its arms and allow innocent citizens of the state to be terrorised.

Egbeyemi then advised miscreants across the state to desist from such acts in their own interest, as anyone caught would be prosecuted.

Those arrested in connection with the attack included 31-year-old Ahmed Gafar, 35-year-old Onuoha Cajetehan, 40-year-old Lateef Hamsat, 34-year-old Femi Adebayo, 40-year-old Bello Olasukanmi, 27-year-old Yusuf Kazim, 24-year-old Olalekan Alleluyah and 39-year-old Obina Emgba.
