The Chairman of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum and Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal, has lamented the mass exodus of doctors from the country.
According to the Governor, the trend is alarming and may be due to the welfare of health personnel.
He, however, urged the federal government to take measures to curtail the exodus.
The Governor said: “We are witnessing brain drain over the years. It is alarming and I believe it has something to do with the welfare of medical personnel.
“I urge the federal government to do something about this urgently.”
