Labour Party Suspends Party Officials

The Chairman of Labour Party, Abdulkadir Abdulsalam

The national leadership of the Labour Party (LP), have suspended eight officials including the Anambra state deputy chairman, Uche Ugwoji.

The LP national chairman, Abdulkadir Abdulsalam, in a statement, said the officers were suspended for misconduct, insubordination, gross indiscipline and anti-party activities.

Abdulsalam listed other officials suspended to include Rich Ejike Onuorah, Alex Osita Obi, Bertram Enukora, Ifeanyi Mbagwu, Greg Amarube, Pastor Longinus Nnajifor and Okecima Anizoba.

He said the suspension became imperative to maintain discipline, sound party spirit and prevent action inimical to the smooth administration of the party in Anambra State.

He restated that Luke Ezeanokwasa remained the Anambra State chairman of Labour Party and asked party members to accord him the respect and recognition demanded of the office.

According to him, the party’s deputy national secretary, Barr. Julius Abure, was also suspended from the party as he did not act in the interest of the party.
