Supreme Court to Rule on Atiku, Obi’s Case Against Tinubu Thursday

The Supreme Court will on Thursday deliver its verdict on the appeal filed against President Bola Tinubu’s victory at the February 25 presidential polls.
The appeal was filed by former vice president Atiku Abubakar who contested the election on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, and Peter Obi, the candidate of the Labour Party.
Atiku came second in the election while Obi, a former governor of Anambra State, came third.
Both men are praying that the apex court sets aside the September 6 judgment by the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal that trashed their case against Tinubu.
Thursday’s judgment date was communicated by the apex court to all the parties on Wednesday, through a notice that was signed by one of its Registrars.
