Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has expressed gratitude as the Supreme Court confirmed his position as the duly elected Governor of the state.
In a statement, Oborevwori commended the judiciary, his legal team, supporters, and all residents of Delta State, emphasizing the vital role of the judiciary as the last bastion of hope for ordinary Nigerians.
With the legal battles now concluded, Oborevwori asserted that it is time to refocus on serving the people of Delta State in alignment with his vision, the MORE agenda. He extended an invitation to all stakeholders to join hands in advancing the state’s progress.
“To the glory of God, the Supreme Court today affirmed me as the duly elected Governor of Delta State. I commend the judiciary, my legal team, supporters, and all Deltans. Truly, the judiciary is the last hope of ordinary Nigerians,” Oborevwori stated.
Acknowledging the pivotal role played by the legal system in upholding democratic principles, the governor expressed his commitment to fulfilling his God-given vision for Delta State. The MORE agenda, he emphasized, will be the guiding force in addressing the state’s challenges and fostering development.
“As the legal battles are over, it is now time to continue to serve fully the people of Delta state in line with my God-given vision, the MORE agenda. And I hereby invite all to join hands with me to move our state forward. To God alone be the glory!” Oborevwori concluded.
