Super Eagles Defender Gets Tippeligaen Nomination


Super Eagles defender William Troost-Ekong has been nominated for the best defender award in the Norwegian Tippeligaen. His nomination for the Norwegian top flight award was posted on the club’s official website.
The player has put up a string of performances for both club and country in recent times.
The 23-year-old joined FK Haugesund on loan from K.A.A Gent.
The Nigeria international boasts of three goals from 23 matches to help Andrea Loberto’s men place fourth on the log with 44 points.
The versatile defender also played a key role in Nigeria’s bronze medal finish at the Rio Olympics.
Super Eagles Striker Joins Rotherham

Peter Odemwingie has joined English Championship side Rotherham United on a short-term deal until Jan. 2017.
United has confirmed the signing of unattached former West Bromwich Albion and Stoke City striker on its official website
He becomes Kenny Jackett’s first signing since replacing Alan Stubbs at the Championship’s bottom club.
Odemwingie has played for Russian side, Lokomotiv Moscow, French club Lille and on loan at Bristol City last season. The 35 year old has also played for Cardiff.
He last played a competitive match on April 19.
