A Nollywood movie producer Mrs Bolanle Austen-Peters, speaking to NAN in Lagos said that the entertainment industry can be harnessed as a platform for creating jobs for Nigerian youths.

Adding that the multi-billion naira industry was capable of generating huge revenue for the nation.

Terra Kulture founder Austine-peters, also confirmed that the entertainment industry was capable of engaging millions of unemployed youths in various field across the country.

Austen-peters adds that the industry is the third largest employer of labor around the world and that its meaningful contribution to the nation, cannot be overstretched.

“The industry is full of creativity and potential that is capable of developing a country.” Terra Kulture founder said,

Adding that “The industry has removed millions of youths off the streets and also contributed meaningfully to the nation’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP),’’

With further insight into the entertainment industry, she applauded the Nollywood personalities for being good ambassadors of the country’s fashion and movie industry around the world.

 

“Africa fashion, style and movie industry is trending and it is gaining world recognition.” she explained.

“African movies, most especially Nollywood has taken over the global market.” She continued.

Then she added that “There is no where you will go to in the world that they do not recognize and appreciate Nollywood movies, Nigerian movie will get soon,’’.

Austen-Peters included that part her firm’s social/ corporate responsibility is to influence and train so many youths on arts, movie productions and visual arts, which has been very effective to a large extent.

“We have been doing our best and we will continue to extend our social/corporate responsibility to the people, especially to the youth,’’ she said.

Peters, adding to her firm’s corporate responsibility said they equally create an exhibition platform where movie producers and visual artists showcase their talents and innovations to the world.

She then appealed to the Federal Government to help create a more enabling environment for the industry to further explore its potentials and grow.
