Solskjaer Reveals Why Cavani Missed Out In United, Newcastle Clash

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed why Edinson Cavani was not featured in Saturday’s 4-1 win against Newcastle United.
The Norwegian opted for an attacking line-up with Cristiano Ronaldo making his highly anticipated second debut for the club at Old Trafford.
The Portuguese was flanked by Jadon Sancho and Mason Greenwood in the attack to the excitement of Solskjaer.
“We’re excited, we can feel the atmosphere in the place, everyone’s been happy,” the manager says.
“There’s here’s a buzz about the place. That’s how it should be around Man. United. Cristiano’s had a fantastic career and he’s coming in to help the team, he’s not come to show off himself and try to give us that extra edge.
“He’s ready, he’s focused, professional as always and meticulous in everything e hod’s. You look at him and what he’s achieved in his career. He wants to prove to him and not just me what he can do.”
“He’s still not ready,” the boss says before further explaining El Matador’s absence.
“He got a little knock in training, so hopefully won’t be too long.”
