Shettima Visits Family of Late Ex-Yobe Governor Bukar-Abba Ibrahim

The Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima, on Thursday, paid a condolence visit to the government and people of Yobe State on the passing away of former Governor, Senator (Dr.) Bukar-Abba Ibrahim.

The VP accompanied by former Senate President, Sen. Ahmed Lawan, former SGF, Alhaji Babagana Kingibe, Ambassador Baba Ahmad Jidda, former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Arc. Ibrahim Bunu, and other dignitaries, was received on arrival in Damaturu by the Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni.

Senator Bukar Abba Ibrahim, who governed Yobe State from 1991-1992 and 1999-2007 before serving three terms in the Senate, passed away on 4th February while receiving medical treatment in Saudi Arabia, at the age of 75.

The VP and his entourage condoled the deceased family, the Government amd people of Yobe, and prayed for the repose of his soul.
