A pro-Federal Government rally held on Tuesday in Abuja was reportedly disrupted by more than 100 security operatives.

The protesters, comprising young and old people, had converged on the Unity Fountain in Abuja, from where they further marched to the Presidential Villa to make known their support for President Muhammadu Buhari.

The protesters were, however, stopped just before the first gate of the villa by heavily armed security operatives.

The security agents insisted the rally must not go beyond the vicinity of the United Bank for Africa (UBA) where they were forced to stop.

An argument, thereafter, ensued between the conveners and the security personnel. It lasted for about two hours. And more soldiers and armoured police vehicles were drafted to the scene.

But that did not deter the protesters as they insisted to be addressed by the authorities in the villa.

Later, the protesters made a return to their takeoff point at the Unity Fountain where a Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media, Mallam Garba Shehu was said to have addressed them.

And thereafter, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, David Babachir Lawal arrived at the scene. He apologised for the action of the security operatives.

Lawal said: “President Buhari will outlive those wishing him dead.” He attributed the anti-Buhari protests to those who looted the nation dry and are now bent on causing confusion despite the president’s efforts to redirect the country on the path of genuine development.

“The government of the day is encouraged by such support from patriotic Nigerians. With such solidarity, the government is being gingered to do more in the interest of all.”

  1. I have noticed that over the course of creating a relationship with real estate proprietors, you’ll be able to come to understand that, in most real estate deal, a commission rate is paid. Eventually, FSBO sellers will not “save” the fee. Rather, they struggle to earn the commission simply by doing a agent’s task. In accomplishing this, they commit their money along with time to conduct, as best they will, the obligations of an broker. Those jobs include revealing the home by marketing, presenting the home to willing buyers, developing a sense of buyer desperation in order to induce an offer, arranging home inspections, managing qualification check ups with the loan provider, supervising maintenance tasks, and facilitating the closing of the deal.
