The chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Plateau state, Damishi Sango, on Tuesday described the declaration of Governor Ayo Fayose to run for president in 2019 as a wake-up call for northern politicians.
Speaking to newsmen, he said Fayose wants political activities to kick off.
Sango said:”The governor wants political activities to kick off; winning the presidency requires long time planning and the governor appears disappointed with the silence in the PDP camp.
”That is why he has offered himself for the job.”
The party chairman called on politicians to start preparing for the 2019 general election.
He said winning polls required long and proper planning that require massive efforts over a long period of time.
