Russia Says Kyiv Deployed ‘Saboteurs’ Near Ukraine Nuclear Plant

Russia accused Ukraine of deploying up to 60 “saboteurs” to Europe’s biggest nuclear plant on Thursday just ahead of a visit by UN inspectors to the Russian-held facility.

“At around 6:00 am (0300 GMT), two groups of saboteurs from the Ukrainian army of up to 60 people … landed …. about three kilometres from the Zaporizhzhia plant,” the defence ministry said, adding that Russian troops had taken “measures to annihilate the enemy”.
