2018 World Cup: Russia Unveils Wolf As Mascot

Russia has opted for goggle wolf as mascot for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
The mascot was unveiled to the public in the early hours of Saturday after a month of online voting.
Named ”Zabivaka”, which means ”one who scores” in Russian, was presented on a popular late-night show on Pervy Kanal state television.
The wolf prevailed over a cat and a tiger dressed in a space suit after receiving more than half the votes.
Over one million people voted in the contest following what FIFA said was ”the most engaging creative process” for selecting official mascot in its history.
The country is set to host the next FIFA World Cup in 11 cities.
