In other results, Scotland settled for a 1-1 draw with Lithuania, while Slovenia pipped Slovakia 1 – 0.
Germany Outclass Czech Republic
Thomas Mueller bagged a brace, while Toni Kroos added the third as world champions Germany spanked Czech Republic 3-0 in Group C.
Northern Ireland were also big winners, with a 4-0 hammering of San Marino. Meanwhile, Azerbaijan have made it two wins from two after they edged Norway 1 – 0.
Lewandowski’s hat-trick proved decisive in Poland’s 3-2 defeat of Denmark in Group E. Montenegro breezed through Kazakhstan 5 – 0 in the group’s other game, while Romania embarrassed Armenia 5-0.
