Cousin to Queen Elizabeth II Lord Ivar is on the verge of becoming the first member of the royal family to be involved in same-sex marriage.

It was gathered that Ivar, who ended his 16-year marriage with ex-wife Penny  Mountbatten, will be tying the knot with his partner James Coyle.

Ivar’s first marriage saw the birth of three beautiful daughters.

In a chat with Daily Mail, Ivar said his wedding to James would hold later this summer in a private chapel in his county estate.

The couple both confirmed that the wedding would be a private affair.

“We’ll be pronounced partners in marriage, but the ceremony itself will be very small. It’s just for the girls and close family and friends,” they said.

“We’ll have lovely food and really good music, but there won’t be two men in tuxedos on a cake, white doves or anything twee or contrived like that,” he added.
