Ronaldo Thanks Cavani For Vacating Number 7 Shirt

Cristiano Ronaldo has thanked Edinson Cavani for vacating the Number 7 shirt at Manchester United for him.

Cavani was handed the shirt on joining United from Paris St Germain.

However, Ronaldo who wore the shirt during his days at United has over time been associated with the Number 7 which he wore when he moved to Real Madrid and then Juventus.

To help him continue with his CR7 brand, United handed Cavani the Number 21 shirt to make the Number 7 available for Ronaldo.

The 36-year-old wrote on social media: I wasn’t sure if it would be possible to have the number seven shirt again.

“So I would like to say a huge thank you to Edi for his incredible gesture.”
