A former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has called Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo state a slave for erecting a statue for President Jacob Zuma of South Africa.

The statue was unveiled after Zuma was conferred with the Chieftaincy title ”Ochiaga Imo” by Eze Imo, His Royal Highness Samuel Ohiri.

The building of the statue has, however, triggered a backlash with people taking to social media platforms to make scathing remarks.

In a series of post on his Twitter page, Fani-Kayode wrote: ”Nigerians are murdered by South African security forces every day yet the clown in Imo state builds a statue in honor of Pres. Zuma.

”Igbos are murdered by Nigerian security forces every day yet that same clown in Imo state continues worship @MBuhari.

”Slavery is a curse.”

Zuma, who is facing multiple accusations of corruption, fraud, and money laundering in his country, arrived Imo state on a two-day working visit on Friday.
