Champions League: Rangers Set Up Committee For Africa

Nigerian champions Rangers International have begun preparations for the 2017 CAF Champions League with the set-up of an eight-man committee to strengthen the side.
The Flying Antelopes are one of the two teams that will represent Nigeria in Africa’s more glamorous club competition next year. Rivers United are the other side.
Members of the committee are Steve Oruruo as Chairman, Paul Chibuzor as Vice-Chairman and Joseph Onwukwe, who serves as Secretary.
Others are coach Amapakabo, Christian Chukwu, Patrick Nworji, Osmond Ugwu and Chime.
Media Director of the club, Foster Chime, remarked in Enugu that the committee was currently carrying out a review of the club’s performance in the recently concluded season.
“The committee will also tinker on players to be recruited, those to be retained as well as those to be placed on the transfer market.
“The committee will also consider the comprehensive programme by the club’s coach, Imama Amapakabo, for the 2016/2017 CAF Champions League and the NPFL.
“The committee will also see to the signing of a one-year contract with the assistant coaches as soon as their current contracts expires on October 31,’’ Chime said.
