Chelsea lost scandalously to Manchester City 6-0 at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday and descended down to 6th on the Premier League table as their conquerors returned to the summit.

Sunday’s result put a dent in Chelsea’s hope of finishing in the top four as Manchester United now occupy the 4th place which the Londoners were occupying just a few days ago.

United have been in fantastic form since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over from Jose Mourinho. They comfortably dispatched Fulham 3-0 on Saturday to climb to the 4th spot which they have now claimed with one point ahead of Arsenal and Chelsea.

Arsenal are occupying the 5th position courtesy of an unconvincing 2-1 victory over Huddersfield on Saturday though on the same point and goal difference with Chelsea.

Iwobi opened the scoring against the run of play when his deflected effort from Sead Kolasinac’s cross was palmed into the corner of his net by Ben Hamer (16).

Tottenham consolidated their position on third position with a 3-1 win over Leicester City who had Jamie Vardy miss a penalty.

Although Spurs ultimately ran out comfortable victors, they arguably could have won by even more had Son been awarded a penalty in the 16th minute.

The South Korea international went tumbling in the area after an attempted tackle by Harry Maguire, but referee Oliver showed him a yellow card after deeming he had dived.
