In a shocking incident that has garnered widespread attention, a 30-year-old pregnant woman, Eucheria Ndigwe, has been taken into custody by the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly stabbing her teenage maid, Chinaze Aneme.
The alleged motive behind this act of violence was the maid’s failure to wash her employer’s bag.
Arrest and Transfer to Gender Unit
Following the circulation of a viral video over the weekend, which documented the harrowing experience of the maid as recorded by a concerned neighbor, the police swiftly acted and apprehended the suspect.
Benjamin Hundeyin, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the arrest via his Twitter handle, @BenHundeyin.
Due to her pregnancy, Ndigwe has been transferred to the command’s gender unit, where she will receive necessary medical attention while the investigation progresses.
The victim, Chinaze Aneme, is also currently receiving medical care at the police hospital.
