Police Nab Suspected Kidnapper in Adamawa
Adamawa State Police Command has announced the arrest of a 25-year-old man identified as Gaiya Mallam Usman in connection to kidnapping.
In a statement issued by the command, the suspect was arrested following a manhunt launched against him.
The statement read in part, “The Suspect, who hails from Tambo in Girei LGA, along with 4 others now at large in separate occasion kidnapped three people in the community and collected the sum of N8m ransom.
“The suspect added that he was given N470,000 only out of N8m they realised from the families of their victims, explaining that he had used his proceeds and bought clothes.
“The Commissioner of Police, CP Afolabi Babatola, had ordered Commander Crack Squad to take over investigation as well to as ensure the prosecution of suspect(s) after the completion of investigation.”
