Police Arrest Four for Tricycle Robbery in Adamawa

Adamawa State Police Command thwarted a robbery incident on April 7, 2024, at approximately 0600hrs, when Nuhu Muhammed, a tricyclist, raised an alarm along Jimeta-Mubi Bridge after being attacked and robbed of his tricycle.

The suspects, identified as Abdullahi Yusuf (22yrs), Umar Yahaya (20yrs), Hassan Ishaka (24yrs), and Shuaibu Abubakar (19yrs), all residents of Kwabura village, Hawal L.G.A, Borno State, were swiftly apprehended.

This was disclosed in a statement issued by the Spokesman for the command, SP Suleiman Nguroje.

According to Nguroje, investigations revealed that the suspects boarded the tricycle as passengers near Viniklang, Girei Local Government Area. Upon reaching the bridge, they forcefully ejected the tricyclist, brandishing dangerous weapons, and absconded with the vehicle.

The Jimeta Division patrol team responded promptly, leading to the arrest of the suspects and the recovery of the stolen tricycle.

Commissioner of Police CP Dankombo Morris, affirmed that the suspects would face charges of criminal conspiracy and armed robbery upon the completion of the investigation.
