Koker Speaks On Relationship With MI

Former Chocolate City act Olayiwola Kokumo popularly known as Koker has said that his relationship with Chocolate City CEO MI Abaga is solid.

Koker sparked speculations that he is feuding with the rapper after he terminated his contract with the record label.

In a chat with Punch correspondent, the artiste through his manager, Ibrahim Bello said that Koker is very cordial with the “You Rappers Should Fix Up Yourself” lyricist.

“We have a very cordial relationship. When it’s time for business we work and vice versa. We have had a lot of performances together and if you look at MI, he’s on an entirely different lane. He is the leader of the team and all he does is discover, breed talents and give them the best possible exposure he could,” he said.

Concise gathered from fans who speculated that there was a rift between the artiste and the label CEO claimed it was due to lack of attention from MI.

Denying this allegation, Koker said, “Everyone was given at least a decent level of presence on the scene. I had solid hits back to back, which supported the efforts of the label and I knew the importance of needing to prioritise and lending my strength to the label.”

He maintained that his relationship with MI is solid and his contract was terminated on a mutual agreement.

He also revealed that his debut song since he left the label “Daddy” is enjoying massive airplay.
