Plateau United on Sunday beat their nearest rivals MFM 1-0 to open a six-point lead at the top of the Nigeria Professional Football League.

Ibeh Johnson’s 3rd minute strike was all the Jos-based side needed to edge MFM in the top-of-the-table clash played under rainy condition.

The win puts the North-central club on 62 points in the standings, and with four games left, Kennedy Boboye’s men seem poised to win the title.
