PHOTOS: Sanwo-Olu Attends Late Shonekan’s Service Of Songs

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has shared photos from the service of songs held in honour of the late interim President, Ernest Shonekan.
Shonekan died on January 11 at the age of 85.
In the caption of the photos, Sanwo-Olu hailed Shonekan for being an elderstatesman
He said, “Yesterday, I joined family, friends, associates, and loved ones at the service of songs in honor of late Chief Ernest Shonekan.
“Chief Shonekan who departed this world on January 11th, at the age of 85, was Nigeria’s interim President, he was an astute lawyer, an elder statesman, an illustrious son, a doting father, and the dear husband of Mama Margaret Shonekan.
“At the event, I enjoined his Family to take heart, as Chief Shonekan has run a good race, he has fulfilled the will of the Almighty, and he has gone home to rest.
“My prayer is that the good Lord continue to abide with his Family and loved ones, and may his soul continue to Rest In Peace. Amen.”
