PHOTOS: Queen Camilla Receives Sanwo-Olu, Wife at Buckingham Palace

The Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and his amiable wife, Dr. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, were guests of Her Majesty The Queen, Camilla at the Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition 2023 Award Ceremony hosted by Her Majesty The Queen at Buckingham Palace on Thursday.

The Lagos State Government was part of the competition’s success story this year with her support, which saw the entries jump to a record-breaking 34,924 entries, making it 9,000 more than the previous year from 50 Commonwealth countries, the most in the history of the competition.

Speaking at the event, Sanwo-Olu “emphasized the paramount importance of literacy and empowering young minds. Grateful to the Royal Commonwealth Society and Her Majesty for their acknowledgement and looking forward to celebrating the winners’ incredible achievements.”
