The Nigerian Army has officially handed over newly found Chibok girl, Rakiya Abubakar, and her baby to the Borno State Governor. The army found mother and child on Thursday.

The Nigerian Army has officially handed over newly found Chibok girl, Rakiya Abubakar, and her baby to the Borno State Governor. The army found mother and child on Thursday.

According to preliminary investigation, the girl is the daughter of Abubakar Gali Mulima of Chibok.

The rescued girl further stated that she was a student of Senior Secondary School Class 3B before her abduction. Boko Haram terrorists abducted her, as well as over 200 of her colleagues, on 14th April 2014.

The also stated that Rakiya was found based on intelligence gathered from arrested Boko Haram members.
