Akeredolu Sworn In As Governor, Tinubu And Other APC Stalwarts In Attendance

Rotimi Akeredolu was on Friday sworn in as Governor of Ondo State. He took the oath of office as administered by the Chief Judge of Ondo state, Justice Temitayo Osoba.
Akeredolu, popularly called “Aketi” won the governorship on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and is taking over from Dr Olusegun Mimiko.
Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, who missed Akeredolu’s campaign rally in Akure, is present at the swearing-in. The APC national leader was accused of not being in full support of Akeredolu during the electioneering period.
Also present at the event were Senate President Bukola Saraki, ex-governor of Ogun State, Olusegun Osoba; Chief Bisi Akande, Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti, Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun state and Governor Isiaq Ajimobi of Oyo state among others.
The first order of business for the new administration would be the solution of problems left it by the outgone administration. These include the payment of salaries especially after asserting that “We will not even be afraid to go into debt to ensure that our civil servants get paid”, and the current doctors’ strike.
