Olamdie, Asake Stole My Songs – Singer, Blackface

Ahmedu Augustine Obiabo, widely known as Blackface, has made serious allegations against YBNL boss Olamide and his signee, Asake, accusing them of pilfering his songs.

In a candid conversation on “The Honest Bunch Podcast,” the former Plantashun Boiz member asserted that Olamide, in particular, has a history of appropriating songs in his career.

Blackface claimed, “Olamide and Asake steal songs. Olamide has stolen many songs in his career. He jacked ‘Don’t Stop’ from me, my song ‘Killa’.”

Furthermore, Blackface accused superstars Wizkid and Burna Boy of stealing their collaborative hit song, ‘Ginger,’ from him. He insisted that ‘Ginger’ drew inspiration from his own song, ‘Twist & Turn.’

The veteran singer went on to assert that other artists not only borrowed his lyrics but also replicated the sounds he created. He cited an example of obtaining permission to use the beat of P-Square’s ‘Do Me’ for his own track, ‘Erima,’ from the producer, Joe.

Remarkably, Blackface expressed his willingness to write songs for Nigerian artists, particularly mentioning Davido if approached properly.

He also disclosed his longstanding desire to collaborate with Tiwa Savage, yet claimed that she has not responded to his requests, showcasing his eagerness to contribute to the Nigerian music industry.
