Okuama: Maintain Restraint, Kwankwaso Urges Military

The candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party in the 2023 presidential election, Rabio Kwankwaso, has urged the military to maintain restraint in their pursuit of those behind the gruesome killing of some soldiers in Okuama community in the Ugheli South Local Government Area of Delta State.

The soldiers, who were responding to a crisis between Okuama community and Okoloba community in the Bomadi Local Government Area of Delta State, were killed and their remains dismembered and dumped in a river.

This prompted an order by President Bola Tinubu for the military to apprehend the perpetrators of the act.

Amid reports of military aggression against Okuama community, Kwankwaso shared on X, “I am deeply concerned by the unfortunate loss of the gallant personnel of the Nigerian Army in Okuoma Community of Delta State.

“However, as we grieve and press for justice for the victims of this terrible incident, it’s important that restraint is maintained by the military authorities.

“I also urge the Federal Government to ensure swift action on the perpetrators of this horrific crime, and to adequately compensate the loved ones of our fallen heroes. – RMK.”
