Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala will be attending the Ehingbeti Summit in Lagos as the new Director-General of the World Trade Organisation, WTO.
Okonjo-Iweala was named new WTO DG yesterday after a meeting of the Governing Council of the WTO.
Confirming her attendance for the Ehingbeti Summit, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu revealed on Twitter:
“I will be attending the Ehingbeti Summit alongside industry leaders who have made their mark in various sectors and spheres of the public and private life.
“This year’s event has been made a strictly online event due to the current realities that we’re facing globally.
“The summit will also be a great moment to listen to Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala @NOIweala, the first African and first female to become the World Trade Organisation’s Director-General. Hearty congratulations to her and to Nigeria for this feat.”
